Is Albert Einstein turning in his grave because of the way we interact today? According to this image, the answer is yes. This viral meme has been getting passed around the Internet faster than you can say E=mc². The graphic contains a series of images which depict the way we now communicate with each other and implies that all our human interactions now come second to playing with our digital devices. Think dinner with friends except everyone is talking on Facebook instead. The graphic ends with an Einstein quote which says, “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.”
What do you think? Are we a generation of idiots yet, do we still have time before we get there, or was Einstein wrong? Share your thoughts below.
From what I hear, Einstein probably never said this. But it doesn’t matter; the statement is true. The more we lazily rely on technology to “carry us” like spoiled toddlers, the dumber we get, and our communication skills continue to spiral downward.
Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.
Einstein never said this quote, it has never been documented. It was made up in the last few years and then spread on the internet.
